Beehive: it's finished!

Here are a couple photos of the final beehive.  My idea was to keep the actual beehive fairly traditional in technique and only use gold with matching thread.  For the stand and post, I wanted to use more creative techniques with the metal threads and add some color.

  4. Wow! What a great small sampler that would be to start out doing some goldwork! If you are going to put out a pattern, I'll wait for it; otherwise, I may take yours as inspiration for my own.

  5. That is stunning! Mary Corbet posted about your work and I see you are at NCSU. If you are interested, someone thoughtful started a group for stitchers in North Carolina on facebook. You can find it here, would love to see your work in person. There are some meetups being planned for stitching fun. One at the Michael's in Holly Springs on the 18th, after lunch, I think. https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/1503719949872232/

  7. Thank you so much everyone! I am considering putting a pattern out for it. I have submitted it for a few workshops and am waiting to hear back about those first. I will keep you updated on both upcoming workshops and patterns as the information becomes available!
